The Bok Center’s Learning Lab was featured in a recent Harvard Gazette article highlighting “Social Engagement Through Music: Histories, Economies, Communities,” a new course launched this spring by the Department of Music. In this collaborative course, students learned how to provide professional support for musicians from Boston’s immigrant communities. The Bok Center’s Learning Lab taught students to record and edit video, shoot headshots, and conduct ethnographic interviews, all of which contributed to the production of promotional materials that the artists can use in the future.
