Roberto is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Romance Languages and Literatures. His dissertation project focuses on shame as the center of gravity of medieval Iberian literature. He is also interested in medieval and early modern hagiography, the relation between literature and visual culture, and late Spanish Islam. He has taught Spanish at the beginning and intermediate level as well as advanced courses on Hispanic literature and culture.
