Pedagogy Fellow in Mathematics
Jonathan Boretsky
Jonathan is a PhD candidate in the department of Mathematics. His research focuses on algebraic combinatorics, an area of math that brings combinatorial tools to bear on problems that relate algebra and geometry. Jonathan first started teaching math at an afternoon homeschooling center for high school students when he was an undergraduate. As a Teaching Fellow at Harvard, he has taught calculus, and MATH 101, titled Sets, Groups and Real Analysis.  Jonathan helps to run the math department's directed reading program, through which he has led reading projects with many undergraduate students. Outside of work, Jonathan likes to rock climb, bike and to try his hand at the New York Times crossword.
