Date and Time

November 4, 2025
02:00PM - 03:30PM EST

Location

Bok Center, 125 Mt. Auburn St. 3rd Floor

In this session, participants will workshop, discuss, and get feedback on the materials needed for a teaching portfolio, including a teaching statement, sample syllabus, and evidence of teaching effectiveness.

Sessions will provide a review of materials in the teaching portfolio, as well as strategies for revision and peer review. Participants will have the option to work on their own materials, partner for a peer review, ask general questions, or receive 1:1 feedback from Bok staff.

This workshop will provide you with the opportunity to reflect and receive feedback on your teaching, whether or not you are preparing to go on the academic job market. In the creation of teaching portfolios, we will review backward design methods that will align your teaching interests with setting clear learning objectives and engaging students through the design of assignments and activities.

Job Market Materials workshops are open to all Harvard affiliates, including graduate students, TAs, postdocs, and faculty.

Registrants for remote workshops will receive a zoom link the day before the workshop.
