Chloe Chapin

As the Assistant Director of Course Development, Chloe provides consulting services to faculty and graduate student instructors in the arts, humanities, social sciences, and General Education. She leads seminars, workshops, reading groups, and consultations on a variety of teaching topics, including course design and effective teaching strategies. She is especially interested in helping faculty think about active in-class activities, teaching across disciplines, and incorporating collection material from Harvard’s museums, libraries, and archives.

Chloe received her PhD from the American Studies Program at Harvard, with secondary concentrations in gender studies and archaeology. She holds master’s degrees from Harvard, FIT, and the Yale School of Drama. Her training and professional background in the arts inform her approach to teaching, which centers active student engagement, and a cultivation of confidence, curiosity, and creativity.
