Amy
Amy is a fifth-year PhD candidate in the Government Department. She studies American politics, with an emphasis on religion and American political behavior. She is particularly interested in understanding how religious polarization creates conditions under which politics can reshape religious beliefs. She uses experimental, behavioral, and archival data to study this phenomenon in contemporary and historical settings. Before graduate school, she worked in community planning and public health in Springfield, Illinois. She also completed her B.A. in political science and history at Illinois Wesleyan University and her M.P.A at the University of Illinois-Springfield.
