Erandi Chavez is an Astronomy PhD candidate at Harvard. They work alongside global collaborators to combine radio telescopes across the world and photograph black holes lying at the centers of galaxies. Erandi is developing new computational imaging techniques to study how these giant black holes feed and launch explosive jets of relativistic plasma into their surrounding environments. In their free time, they love baking and karaoke.
