Danielle Leavitt-Quist
Pedagogy Fellow in History

Danielle is a PhD candidate in History, where she focuses on the Soviet Union and Modern Ukraine. Her dissertation project is a cultural and intellectual history of old age in the USSR, in which she examines how ideas about the elderly and the ideological function of old age changed as the Soviet state itself grew old. Danielle received her BA from Brigham Young University in Russian Language and Literature. At Harvard, Danielle has been a teaching fellow for classes on the history of Ukraine, the Soviet Union, the End of Communism, Nazi Germany and the Holocaust, and intellectual history.
