The 2019 Winter Teaching Week may have ended, but another semester of Bok Center programming has just begun!

The Bok Center hosted its annual Winter Teaching Week this January 23–25. The three days were packed with a robust slate of programming including: foundations of teaching for new TFs, methods for engaging students in STEM classes, leading meaningful discussions in humanities and social science sections, and professional development workshops focused on different aspects of communication and syllabus design. We were delighted to welcome the participation of Bok partners from General Education, GSAS, the Harvard Libraries, the Bureau of Study Counsel, and Academic Technology-FAS.

The expanded number and variety of sessions attracted an unprecedented number of participants, with a 58% increase in attendance over last year’s Winter Teaching Week! For those of you who would like to review any of the materials circulated during the week, our presenters have been generous enough to deposit their slides and handouts here.

We invite everyone to continue the conversations we started at Winter Teaching Week as we enter the spring semester, whether by enrolling in one of our Bok Seminars, pursuing one of our Teaching Certificates, having your class observed or videotaped, coming in for a consultation about your student feedback or teaching materials, or applying to one of our many fellowship opportunities. There are many ways to join the Bok community—don’t miss the opportunity!
