#  New Bok Center Publication on Student-Centered Learning

 We are pleased to share that we have contributed a chapter to [The Routledge International Handbook of Student-Centered Learning and Teaching in Higher Education](https://www.taylorfrancis.com/books/e/9780429259371)! Edited by Sabine Hoidn and [Manja Klemenčič](https://scholar.harvard.edu/manja_klemencic/home), Lecturer on Sociology, the Routledge Handbook provides a comprehensive examination of student-centered learning. [Tamara Brenner](/people/tamara-brenner), [Adam Beaver](/people/adam-beaver), [Marlon Kuzmick](/people/marlon-kuzmick), [Pamela Pollock](/people/pamela-pollock-0), and [Robert Lue](/people/robert-lue) wrote a chapter about our work at the Bok Center, “Partners in Creating Student-Centered Learning: Case Study of the Derek Bok Center for Teaching and Learning at Harvard University.” We examine the challenges that instructors may encounter when attempting to infuse their teaching with a student-centered approach, and describe strategies that the Bok Center uses to help faculty and graduate student instructors overcome these challenges.
