This interactive workshop focuses on networking and telling your professional story. How do you make connections and build community at Harvard? How do you meet people, engage meaningfully, AND talk confidently about your research? In this interactive session, international teachers and scholars will learn and practice the basics of both small talk AND big talk, working on skills to help connect with others in both informal and more formal social situations. Cultural norms and disciplinary differences will be considered.
This iworkshop is part of the Spring 2017 Focus on Culture and Communication workshop series, a collaboration between the Derek Bok Center’s Professional Communication Program for International Teachers and Scholars and Harvard International Office.
