The Research Statement is a critical document for the job market, but what should it actually include? How much space should you give to different projects, and how can you make the statement compelling to your readers? In this workshop, we will discuss how to structure and strategize your research statement; you will then have the opportunity to draft your own statement and participate in a peer review session. The workshop will also touch briefly upon the Writing Sample, another document that you will likely be asked to provide as part of your applications.
