Faculty Lunch on Learning in the Sciences and SEAS

Date:

Friday, April 28, 2017, 12:00pm to 1:00pm

Location:

Bok Center Community Space, Science Center Room 318

Faculty Lunch on Learning in the Sciences and SEAS with Margo SeltzerHerchel Smith Professor of Computer Science, John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applies Sciences.

Professor Seltzer's presentation will focus on Flipping at Scale: What happens when you take a 125-person introductory level course and flip it? Though still a work in progress, but after trying two different versions: a full-flip with videos and exercises and a half-flip with twice a week 45-minute lectures/45-minute exercises, Professor Seltzer will be sharing what they’ve learned, what works, what doesn’t, and ideally initiate discussion.
