Email Etiquette for Effective Communication

Friday, April 7, 2017, 10:00am to 12:00pm

Harvard International Office Conference Room at Smith Campus Center Room 864

Email is ubiquitous, but using it appropriately is a minefield even for the most communication savvy. How formal or informal should you be, and how do you know? By reviewing and discussing sample messages, participants will learn concrete strategies and ideas for effective email communication. We will also discuss common pitfalls and get some tips and tricks for effective use of email for professional and academic contexts.

This workshop is part of the Spring 2017 Focus on Culture and Communication workshop series, a collaboration between the Derek Bok Center’s Professional Communication Program for International Teachers and Scholars and Harvard International Office.

Enrollment for this workshop will open the first week of March.
