The 3-part **Critical Pedagogy Workshop Series** is designed for PhD students at all stages who are interested in critical pedagogies, thinking about building their teaching portfolios, and how teaching fits in to their own professional development goals. Each workshop considers different perspectives on teaching–from our disciplines, our students, and other lenses, and how to use those on our own learning journeys as teachers and scholars. Students may attend workshops individually or sign up for all three. **Becoming a Critically Reflective Practitioner**
*Thursday, April 8, 3:00-4:00pm EDT
Led by Pamela Pollock*

As scholars, we are always developing our research, but how do we think about learning and growing as a teacher? How does what we learn from teaching, especially during these unprecedented and turbulent times in higher education, help us reflect on and adapt our own teaching practice? In this session, we will use Stephen Brookfield’s lenses for reflective teaching-- 1) self, 2) students, 3) colleagues, and 4) scholarship-- to explore these questions and build our own toolkit for becoming critically reflective teacher-scholars.
