Voice and speech specialist working with Harvard’s teaching community to foster freer, more expressive and dynamic communication in the classroom. At Harvard, she works with faculty and TFs interested in deepening their own experience of oral communication. Together with faculty, she is working to develop a robust methodology for enhancing student speaking skills through rehearsal, performance, coaching, and peer review. Sarah has taught graduate-level courses in voice, speech, and Shakespeare at the American Repertory Theater and Moscow Art Theater; coached professional productions with award-winning directors such as John Tiffany, Sarah Benson, and Marcus Stern; and led master classes at Tufts University, Institut del Teater in Barcelona, and the Simon Fraser School for the Contemporary Arts in Vancouver. She performs blues, jazz, and traditional Irish music and has been a visiting soloist at Grace Cathedral. Sarah received her BA from Harvard College and her MFA through the American Repertory Theater / Moscow Art Theater Institute for Advanced Theater Training program at Harvard.
